The package at a glance
Four building blocks, matched to each other, for the 356 at 110 to 150 hp:
Steel differential with 12-hole mounting
the durable core of the 356 gearbox — machined from high-grade steel, with a 12-hole crown-wheel mounting. More on our differential work: limited-slip differentials.7:31 final drive
the proven ratio for the 356 gearbox — ground teeth, numbered, with measurement report, available from stock.Uprated axle shafts with adapted splines
machined from a single billet of high-strength steel, heat-treated — material, heat treatment and spline geometry designed together for the higher output. More: drive shafts & stub axles.Tall 4th gear
the taller fourth gear makes an uprated 356 usable on the open road — the engine runs noticeably more relaxed at cruising speed.
Why a package
More power loads the whole chain: differential, final drive, shafts and gearing have to match, otherwise the weak point simply moves from one part to the next. The complete package is matched exactly for that — instead of collecting parts from different sources, you get one coherent system from one workshop, installed on request, set up and run on the test bench.
Individually or complete
Every building block is also available on its own — from the 7:31 final drive in stock to the made-to-measure uprated axle shaft. Tell us what your 356 makes and how it is driven, and we’ll put the right package together.
