Top quality from our own production
We machine the complete final drive — crown wheel and pinion — for the Porsche 356 gearbox on our own gear-cutting machines in Germany. The teeth are ground on the drive and coast sides to a tolerance in the region of 0.0025 mm, not milled and lapped. Every set carries a serial number and leaves our workshop with a measurement report — the setting dimension for optimum running is etched into the face of the pinion.
The 356 final drive comes with a 12-hole mounting of the crown wheel. A proven ratio from the programme is the 7:31 — further ratios on request.
In stock, ships immediately
The final drive for the 356 gearbox is held in stock with us — as are the sets for the 901, 904, 906, 908, 908/03, 915, 916 and 917. No production lead time: inquire, order, delivered.
Set-up and installation from one source
A final drive only shows its full potential with correct backlash and a clean contact pattern. That’s why, on request, we handle installation and set-up to factory specification — easily combined with a gearbox rebuild or a limited-slip differential in the same job. More about the gearbox itself: 356 gearbox.
Goes with it: the 356 complete package
For uprated 356s (110 to 150 hp) the 7:31 final drive is also available in the 356 complete package — together with a steel differential with 12-hole mounting, uprated axle shafts with adapted splines and a tall 4th gear.
