Top quality from our own production
We machine the complete final drive — crown wheel and pinion — for the gearbox of the 917 Le Mans works racer on our own gear-cutting machines in Germany. The teeth are ground on the drive and coast sides to a tolerance in the region of 0.0025 mm, not milled and lapped. Each set is individually numbered and backed by a measurement report; the setting dimension for optimum running is etched into the face of the pinion.
In stock, ships immediately
The 917 final drive, too, waits finished in stock — together with the sets for the 356, 901, 904, 906, 908, 908/03, 915 and 916. Delivery comes with no production lead time.
Set-up and installation from one source
Precision from production needs precision at set-up — backlash and contact pattern have to fit. On request we therefore take on installation and set-up to factory specification, combinable with a gearbox rebuild or a limited-slip differential in the same job. More about the gearbox itself: 917 gearbox.
