We machine the complete final drive — crown wheel and pinion — for the gearbox of the 908/03 on our own gear-cutting machines in Germany. The teeth are ground on the drive and coast sides to a tolerance in the region of 0.0025 mm, not milled and lapped. Each set is serialised, documented with a measurement report, and carries the setting dimension for optimum running etched into the face of the pinion.

01 Is the final drive for the 908/03 gearbox available?

Yes, from stock. We hold the 908/03 variant finished and on hand as well — a production lead time simply doesn't exist here. A short inquiry is enough, and it's delivered.

02 How do I recognise the quality?

As with all our final drives — gear teeth ground on the drive and coast sides to a tolerance in the region of 0.0025 mm instead of milled and lapped, serial numbering, a measurement report for every unit, and the setting dimension for optimum running etched into the face of the pinion.

03 Can you also set up and install the final drive?

Yes. On request we take care of both — set-up follows factory specification with original setting tools and a contact-pattern check, and a test-bench run rounds it off. If you do the assembly yourself, you receive the documented setting dimension.
