930 & 935 – Differential and Axle Flanges

Limited-slip differential and axle flanges for the 911 Turbo and Group 5 935 — from stock

For the gearboxes of the 911 Turbo and the Group 5 935 we stock limited-slip differentials and axle flanges. We do not have final drives for these two types — better said now than later.

What we carry for the 930 and 935

  • Clutch-type limited-slip differential — on the ZF principle in CrMo steel, locking value and ramp angles specified for the intended use. More on this: limited-slip differentials.
  • Axle flanges — the link between differential and drive shaft, machined on our own equipment. On a Turbo, one of the first places where the standard specification runs out of margin.

Both are in stock and ship without production lead time.

What we do not carry

We have no final drives for the 930 and 935. For nine other gearbox types they sit finished in stock — 356, 901, 904, 906, 908, 908/03, 915, 916 and 917. Anyone hunting a final drive for their 930 is spared a pointless inquiry.

What is possible anyway

The gearbox itself we of course rebuild: the 930 gearbox and the 935 gearbox are part of the rebuild programme — strip, measure, binding quote, rebuild, test-bench run. Uprated drive shafts and stub axles are made to measure for them too.

Common questions

01 Why is there no final drive for the 930 and 935?

Because we simply do not carry one. Final drives sit in stock for nine other gearbox types, but not for these two — anyone looking for one should learn that here rather than after sending an inquiry.

02 What is an axle flange?

The axle flange sits at the output of the differential and connects it to the drive shaft. It carries the full drive torque and, on a powerful Turbo, is one of the first parts to reach its limit.

03 Does the differential fit the original housing?

Yes. Layout and mounting dimensions follow the Porsche original, and the unit replaces the standard differential. Locking value and ramp angles are specified for your use.

04 Can you fit the parts?

Into a gearbox you send us, yes — including a fresh final-drive setup and a test-bench run. We do not work on vehicles; removal and refitting are done by your local workshop.

05 And if I do need a final drive for my 930?

Ask anyway. What is not in stock can often still be machined — just not immediately. As part of a gearbox rebuild we work out what makes sense in your case.

What is on your bench?

Gearbox type and a few lines about your request — that is all we need for a first assessment. A photo helps but is not required. The answer comes from the machinist, not from sales.
