The G50 is considered the robust gearbox of the late G-models — but its synchro rings, bearings and guides age too. We rebuild it to factory specification and retrofit the matching limited-slip differential.

Limited-slip differential
locking value 25–75%, as a direct swap for the standard differential — original bearings and seals are reused.
Parts from our own production
as the market for early G50 variants thins out, we machine replacements.

Common questions

01 Which Porsche models used the G50 gearbox?

The G50 is the gearbox of the late G-series 911 Carrera. The 964 also carries the G50 gearbox family.

02 Why does a G50 shift stiffly despite its robust reputation?

Even a robust gearbox ages. After thirty years the synchro rings and guide sleeves are usually worn — that is the most common cause of a stiff shift in the G50.

03 Can a limited-slip differential be retrofitted to a G50?

Yes. Our clutch-type differential has a locking value of 25 to 75 per cent and replaces the standard differential one for one. The original bearings and shaft seals are reused.
